About Doctor
Ms. Sarah Ikram is a Nutrition Support Dietitian. She graduated from College of Home Economics Karachi with a Master’s of Science in Clinical nutrition and dietetics in 2008. She obtained her dietetic internship from the Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi in the year 2009. Following her training period she appeared in her Nutrition Registration Examination from Pakistan and was successfully awarded with the title of Registered Dietitian in the year 2010. She was employed as a Clinical Dietitian by the Aga Khan University in the year 2010. Ms. Ikram started her clinical practice with the Department of General Surgery along with division of cardiothoracic surgery department. There she was responsible for the nutritional management of both pediatric and adult critically ill patients. In the year 2012 she joined the Intensive care patients, where she was providing expertise on enteral and parenteral nutrition of the critically ill patients requiring dependency on Mechanically Ventilator dependent patients. Prior to joining South City Hospital, she continued her clinical practice at Aga Khan University from 2010-2016 as nutritionist in intensive care unit. During her tenure she was affiliated with PGME post medical education program and with Aga Khan School of nursing SON) for conducting teaching workshops on Nutrition. At South City Hospital, she is responsible for inpatient consultation and as well as out -patient-clinics. She also has her expertise with medical nutritional therapy involved with different diseases and weight loss.
